Exploded Drawing was done at a studio in a house in Boston. API Legacy, A-80 24-track, and ATR-102 (refurbished by Alactronics).

The studio was called Squid Hell and had the best sounding control room I have ever used. No near-fields, just soffit mounted big speakers (the one Genelec model with the ribbon-tweeter). The studio closed at that location when a competing studio called the zoning board and the sheriff showed up. Some community.

They are building a new facility from the ground up in Jamaica Plain, Mass, with the same designer (Bob Alach of Alactronics). It will be one of the best studios in the world and definitely the best in Boston.

Brian Paulson did New Dark Age. I also did Shapes and Today's Active Lifestyles and I'm very proud of all 3.

that is some great info. i loved their sound, and never seeing them live, i imagine that that is how they would sound anyways. i went to see them at lounge ax, but i was only 19 at the time. i didnt know that it was a 21+ show. after driving 5 hours from sheboygan, wi to chicago, the doorman wouldnt let me in. i told him my plight and he didnt believe me at all, yeah right! he said. we drive home in the same fucking snowstorm, and man, what a bummer. anyways, i thank you for the info.
