I use one of the Tranor YPM-1 Pa amps it is 100 watts @ 4 ohms and clean 20hz to 100,000 hrz (+). Apparently there is three versions of this amp.

They are not very expensive and are extreemly clear - it has some distortion qualities to it that are neat. It is transistor but overdriven it has a really nice + harmonics - - warm - - and edgey but very - very clear.

My present large scale set up is a Traynor YBM into a JBL 2x 15 cabinet and the Traynor YPM-1 into a 2 - EV PA Speaker cab. The YPM-1 (at one point I had it in a 4 celstrion green back cabinet with a horn) but now perfer the 2 EV PA they weigh about the same.

I use this set up so that my effects go to the Tranor YBM and the clean sound is coming from the YPM. It is a nice sound but may be too loud for some situations I have two other set ups that are designed to work at one for lower volumes and one for very low volumes which seem to be the norm in most clubs these days.

I have heard good things about the Yorksville sold state bass amps. I own and have also used a Sony rack PA + TC Electronics Rack EQ Pre on guitar but I find that the Tranor is better for me.
