this is a pointless query but what happens when a band comes to record and someone is allergic to cats. i'm sure efforts can be made to keep the cats away from the folks that are allergic but from the photos of the studio i would assume that cat hair is in a few places. i cant imagine having to play while coughing, sneezing, and having watery eyes. or maybe i'm just a pansy-ass and everyone just sucks it up and does their job.
and i just noticed that my name on here is 'whiskerando' and im asking about cats, harold christ.

I won't comment about you being a pansy-ass. I would like to, but I don't know you.
We have been very successful at keeping the cats away from sessions when there is someone allergic to cats involved. The cats have virtually never been in the studios themselvers, just the common areas. If necessary, the cats can easily be completely removed from the studio, but that has only been necessary a couple of times.
As for hair, we clean the furniture and carpeting often, or at least that's what they say they're doing when everybody leaves the building and comes back drunk after lunch.

3i recorded a band there once with a guitar player who was allergic to the cats. it didn't bother him too much i guess since as steve said the cats don't frequent the control rooms and studio space that much....
but he might have been a pansy ass too, i will have to check my session notes.

'studio cats' is about actual cats. wow.
sometimes cats will make me sneeze, but at Electrical I didnt have any problems. our other guitar player had mild symptoms but it was nothing an Old Style couldnt fix. the place is mostly big and the cats are mostly small. besides, Pip the Cat can use the hallway like a half pipe which should be enough to make up for a runny nose.

5i think the interns should have to go around and pick up the stray hairs one at a time.

6Tim Green (Nation of Ulysses/Fucking Champs) has a really great cat as his studio in SF. Named Pendy (short for Pendejo). He's also better than Strom Thurmond.

You have no idea what stray pieces had to be handled. I enjoyed every minute though...
