bob log is cool as hell.
when he played here no one would dip their boob in his scotch,
but he did convince two ladies to sit in his lap while he played the
last song.

He was fun, the first time I saw him, but last time, he more or less phoned in his performance. Plus there were a bunch of drunken frat boys moshing (!) up fron during his set.

I guess the novelty's pretty fun, but you only need to see him live once.

He's got a novetly aspect which I suppose could lose luster, but he's also a fucking incredible guitar player.

I also liked his previous band Doo Rag. Nothing like helping keep the drummer supplied in empty beercases.

Before any of the above, before he even threw the "III" at the end of his name, Bob Log played some evil slide gtr in the band Mondo Guano. They were like a desert version of Pussy Galore. They put out a single that you probably won't ever see. Anyway, this was my favorite music thing Bob ever did.

On the whole I'm going to go ahead and give him a CRAP vote, though. An earlier post hit it on the head. Doo Rag and his solo stuff always makes a huge first impression, and goes nowhere from there.

damn Angus, I guess im just not old school enough. I'll just give up on Bob Log because he's not in his old band that I'll never hear

it was a bit weird to watch Doo Rag on a street of empty storefronts and then hear they were on some stadium tour or whatever. But the emperor is not entirely naked (though he'd look good that way still, I am sure)...
