they only have actual wheelchair games once a week

 Lets make it twice guys. Wheelchair wiffle ball.

That place sounds perfect. Is it lit at night? I'm thinkin' midnight game.

-and Bob, it's time to choose a side. Are you going to join our coalition of the willing, or is russ going to have to start photo-shopping you out of all the family pictures here?

greg,

i'm not sure if it's lit...but the two times i've actually managed to get people to join me for a game of pickup baseball and get over there, its been from around 7.30pm to 9 and we never had a problem with lighting.

in any case, i drive by it on my way home from work, so i'll check out the lighting tonight and report back tommorow. but yeah, its a pretty cool place to play --- the fences are at about 150 feet...just perfect for substandard ballplaying.

Electrical Audio,

Please feel free to boast of your victory in our previous bastardized non-Wiffle Wiffle Ball game -- I am prepared to play Wiffle Ball again! god damn you all! under the following two conditions, which should impose some sanity on the next match:

1. None of this no strike zone nonsense. If someone throws a good hard strike by you, and you are unable to react in time so as to move your sick little bat, then you should not be rewarded by getting to see additional pitches that are more to your liking.

The folks at Wiffle suggest setting up some type of target (e.g., a chair -- or perhaps we can build a Wiffle strike board) that will provide visual and aural confirmation of each non-swinging strike.

2. No baserunning. Baserunning has no place in Wiffle Ball. Wiffle laughed at me when I told them that we ran the bases. I pass this laughter along to you.

Questions? Call Wiffle Ball, Inc. at (203) 924-4643.

Brad from .22 (0-1)

Why wouldn't we run bases? It adds another element to the game that's really fun.
Maybe they were laughing at you because you actually called them. Who actually calls Wiffle Ball, Inc.?

I'm for running bases.

That walk-off homer by yours truly was pure power against power. Brad was throwing that wicked fastball of his. He had been very successful with it. I waited, and when it came, knocked that motherfucker over the fence. Not luck. Baseball knowledge paying off. What was luck was that your team didn't bother to check out whether you could play with any proficiency. Bring it, Meat!

I seem to recall that Steve and I earned our way on base before John's 3-run homer to win the game.

Besides clearing that up, what's the layout for the teams so far?

Here's who's on our side:
    Me
    John
    Greg
    Chad
    Steve
    Bob
    Who else?

Who's on your side?:
    Jeremy
    Brad W.
    Bill Skibbe
    Tim M.
    Who else?
