in no order, and not necessarily the solid mix -- also, does not include documentaries, just shit with actors in it.

karakter by mike van diem (i don't think about this movie much but when i do, i think about watching it, and how much i enjoyed it. i picked it up two separate times after first seeing it, thinking i'd never seen it before and that it seemed interesting. it was great and satisfying all 3 times i first saw it.)

office space by mike judge (have watched this a total of one zillion times and will probably watch more in the future... i like the humor and the whole vibe reminds me of the dfw metroplex... it runs in the top ten as a default because to not include it would be lying to myself)

cold fever by friðrik Þór friðriksson (probably not the most awesome film technically, and somehow has made it into my top ten even though my least favorite actress lili taylor is in it for a second and a complete douche, but i really, really, really found this movie compelling, and relaxing, and tense all in one)

lost in translation by sophia copolla (i guess it's an obvious one but i love it... i say "hallelujah!!" all the time and "lip my stocking" pops in my head once a week)

rushmore by wes anderson (probably the only anderson movie i totally like, and probably the only reason i give him more credit than he deserves)

big lebowski by coen bros (you can't fuck with the jesus)

stray dog by akira kurosawa (if only for the ending, in the daisies... oh man oh man... also for takashi of course ... and the first film mifune didn't annoy me in, just the character a little bit)

take care of my cat by jae eun jong (this is one of those movies i can let play all day, and have)

star treks I-X and the lord of the rings trilogy (nothing similar but had to group them together this time around... although star trek predates lotr for me, lotr rules because it got me hyper interested in the history of arda)

delicatessen by jeunet and caro (love it. just love it!!! ... a very sweet story, fantastic and quite scary)

honorable mentions: funny face, seven samurai, kagemusha, sound of music, my fair lady, oklahoma (mostly the creepy dream sequence involving homeslice and her two suitors, and when homeboy goes ballistic, also everything else practically), slip in an eastwood, great escape, a mighty wind (YOU ROCK, you rock my world! whaa??), and like a million others.

-editted so i could add directors.

a lot of people like this one, i understand, this is a nice story, i admit the first 45 minutes are great but after that ..... i can't... i like very much "vigin suicide" but this one......boring me.....i really think that sofia coppola is surestimate!!...... why do his father's not making another film! (maybe because now he prefer making wine)!?
