52Fortress/Deer Park for me, well, definitely something off of Hex Enduction Hour. I saw The Fall when I was 10. In 1985. They ruled. All this 'they're incapable of doing anything bad' talk, is bullshit though. They've written plenty of awful songs, and anybody who thinks there progress is anything but a very gradual decline starting around '87 to now is just wrong. Sure there are blips here and there, but they aint been all that hot for a long time. Still in their heyday, they were really really great.

the current fall with ben pritchard and elana smith is an under-rated fall. they have produced one of the band's best albums 'country on the click' and another pretty good one in the shape of 'fall heads roll'. they aren't particularly thrilling live but on the right night they sound fantastic.
