Houston is ugly and the traffic is terrible, but theres a few cool studios, venues, and great resturants to somewhat make up for it. Of course then venues are mostly dominated by these nazi scenesters that form a sespool of whatevers en vogue. But... its better than my town. I think..

Theres some great views if you go to the tops of office buildings, especially on the southwest side, the city looks like a forest.

do you live in sugarland?

Ha. I work just outside of Sugarland. Hate it.

I don't know if Houston is the absolute WORST city, but it's pretty bad.

I love it here. Of course, I also love to complain...

I was in Atlanta last spring, and I personally found it so shitty it was funny. In the neighborhood around the Underground mall, a lot of the drug dealers took a liking to me, and even tried to sell me stuff. I bought a headband that made me look like the tennis player guy in The Royal Tennenbaums.

Underground is bum-ridden and retarded. There are way better places to go in Atlanta.

My list:
1) Rochester, NY. My hometown. I hope never to have to live there again.

2) Albany, NY.

3) Detroit. That place freaked me out with the empty skyscrapers but I had a good time when I went so...waffles there.

4) Daytona Beach, FL. God what a sad place.

No particular order:

Toledo, Ohio - Jesus Christ, what a shithole. Toledo dreams of being as pleasant as Detroit. Total fucking dump.

Dayton, Ohio - Complete absence of character. Monumentally bland.

Houston, Texas - Take L.A., delete any of the positive qualities, and make it stupidly hot and humid.

Asbury Park, NJ - Flint-by-the-Sea. Asbury Park is what I imagine a beach resort in Liberia or Somalia would be like.

Bridgeport, CT - Used to be worse, but it had nowhere to go but up. The East Coast's Toledo.

Spokane, Washington - You won't go broke selling meth in Spokane, that's for sure.

Riverside, California - Decrepit malls and 70's planned communities. Like the Brady Bunch if everything was dirty/dead/tweaking.

Norfolk, VA - Navy

Oceanside, CA - Navy, Marines

Phoenix, AZ - Humans don't belong here, but they are everywhere.

Marseille, France - The architecture is nice, but it remains the only place in Europe where I was in danger of being shot on two separate occasions.

Daytona Beach, Florida - The speedway is one of the greatest places on the planet. The city needs to be razed.

Greeley, Colorado - as bad as Fast Food Nation made it out to be. Smells like the inside of a million cows's assholes.

Hartford, CT - If you like the sound of small arms fire, you'll love Hartford. The downtown area is completely vacant.

Salt Lake City, UT - 3.2 beer and measured shots are fucking bullshit. Every drink has to be a double. Total lack of faith in the individual in this town.

Camden, NJ - Don't go here unless you have a death wish. A fucking war zone.

It took to page three to mention this hell hole? Racist, assbackward, timewarp trip back to the heyday of the KKK. DISgusting. And I lived in Saginaw, MI for a year and a half, so I can compare to Flint and Detroit. Also grew up in upstate NY so I can include, (sm)Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo and Niagara Falls (check out the canadian side, still neon hell but with je ne se quois).

jackson, mi is the absolute zero of shit cities.

Now if you want to include small towns, the scariest place I've been in my life is the towns along the Salmon River in ID. I actually fled a diner due to a carload of skinheads trying to make nice with the girl from out of town when i was in Salmon. I don't scare easily and I high tailed it the hell out of Idaho and over to yellowstone. Phew.
Don't let the strawberry win.
