Thalia Zedek's new album with a really long title is truly great.

At times, somewhere around the "middle" of the album, it almost becomes just as good as the best Come record (Don't Ask, Don't Tell)--almost.

I don't know what spurred this album on, where her own creativity came from, but it's just great.

So, she gets my vote. Always has, actually.

Julie Doiron!

The album with the Wooden Stars is likely the best-but-least-known-about album ever recorded.* At least by humans. Makes the hairs on my neck sway.

The French album is also nice, despite its Frenchness.

* This album did win a Juno I guess—in Canada Junos are small jars of maple syrup presented to musicians by the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatoon. The ceremonies are televised and in recent years luminaries the likes of Shania Twain and The Barenaked Ladies have been known to appear via satellite from LA.
