once again, i have to call bullshit.
i can see how some may simply not prefer to listen to this type of music....but to go to the trouble of saying they suck or they make "smart music for stupid people" just shows how fucking stupid you are.
it must be sad to rely on bashing talented musicians just to make yourself feel better about being a talentless douche that nobody will ever give a shit about once youre dead.
thats about what it comes down to.
they are not a great band in the large scheme of things but come one....get real.

If they are not a great band in the "large scheme of things" than what the fuck is the problem?
It seems you only are contrarian when it is some band that corporate America deems important. Nirvana, Interpol, and Smashing Pumpkins? I'm mild to apathetic of all these bands, jesus I must be bashing on talented musicians. (expresses opinion).
Get a fucking life, at least Wernehm-Zackariaah was somewhat funny.
Once again, I have to call you an idiot cervixFORaHEart.
Oh and Radiohead? NOT CRAP.

53Well, Thom Yorke is a whiny little fuck and this band have done some self-indulgent shit, but I still voted NOT CRAP because this band has made some pretty interesting and sometimes even beautiful music. I could never not like OK Computer for sentimental/adolescent reasons, plus the songwriting on that record is really damn good. A lot of Kid A is great, and there are moments splattered on that one I can't remember the name of. Pyramid Song is a great song.
One thing that does slightly annoy me about Radiohead is that they assimilate qualities of various underground artists and homogenize it in to their own sound. I must state VERY CLEARLY that this in itself does not annoy me - hell, that's a great thing to be able to do, take qualities of other people's music and make it your own. What does annoy me is that Radiohead are then seen as revolutionary pioneers, and the artists from whom they borrowed remain overlooked by the mainstream press/record buying public. If I was autechre, Steve Reich or Keith Jarrett I'd feel a bit put out.
Oh, and Cervix for a blah blah blah, shut the fuck up.

54Tough one.
There are some Radiohead tracks that I would vote a solid NOT CRAP for, and they seem like intelligent, interesting people but they have recorded far more music that I consider to be CRAP than NOT CRAP and thus I suppose I most vote CRAP.
CRAP.

55To me, it's very simple. I like a lot of Radiohead music, but can't just vote on the music. Being all 'fuck the corporations' whilst working for them is Crap.

56i loved "the bends" when i was a teen... since then, i've never listened to another album of theirs, not even THE BEST RECORD EVER, OK COMPUTER. but i saw them play live a couple of years ago and they were terrifically good. that's all i have to go on. not crap

57Not Crap. Seems like some people always want to up their indie cred by not liking Radiohead, which is kind of like upping your indie cred by not liking good music.
Fuck the haters, "Motion Picture Soundtrack" is playing at my funeral.

This is patently ridiculous for two reasons:
1 It implies that it's impossible to not enjoy the music of Radiohead.
2 Judging by the results of the poll, the majority are happy to openly state that Radiohead are NOT CRAP and thus presumably stating the opposite would not 'up their indie cred'.

Close to what he said. I'd go for the wf 10.
I dislike the Bends and Pablo Honey, but I have some fondness for parts of OK Computer Nevertheless, on that record, overall I am put off by the song structures (too much fat dedicated to sounding clever and epic, to my ears) and the lyrics. It's with the words that the Roger Waters Pink Floyd comparisons come in, they read like sixth form poetry. Obscure and portentious, but no subtlety. Calling a song Paranoid Android, humour notwithstanding sums up this pretention.
But I saw them live a few years ago, and going with with arms crossed, I was surprised to find myself really enjoying the music. And Thom Yorke appeared to be a much more witty and grounded fellow than he sounds on record. And Kid A is a fine record.
