If it's any consolation they issued a public apology for the name change and the pussy MOR album, which they now only play one song off.

Killjoy, the album that track is off is brilliant, the recording is really nice as well, live, direct to tape.

Their first two records and the latest one are much better than a lot of Helmet's output and I'm a big Helmet fan.

I have to agree with Gramsci. Shihad BRING IT live. I'm not sure what the You Tube thing is as I can't veiw it just now. But I've seen them enough times to know they're a great live band.

The Pacifier thing is pretty embarrassing. But they aren't the first band to do something stupid when pressured by their label.

Joel RL Phelps The Downer Trio were really great when I caught them last year, but I love JRLP anyway so I think this is biased. Same for Jonathan Richman. Gwar has "brought it" sometimes, but failed to do so others.

These WERE great shows. I was at both of them at was blown away.

I've never seen a bad Burma show. The Cradle show was topped for me by Irving Plaza, NYC, because it was their second show re-formed, and it seemed like it would be one of maybe 5 ever, and 9:30 in DC, because my friend knows Clint, and we got to hang out with the band. Roger was doing the set list and couldn't think of another song. I said "I really like Playland" and he said "good idea!" They played it in the second set (probably would have anyway) and it felt cool.

melvins w/ jello this winter was intense. i dunno about the rest of the tour but in philly it was a full melvins set, and then jello came out and did the new stuff and lots of dk songs.

racebannon at macrock i guess 3 years ago. i dont particularly enjoy their records but it was a spectacle let me tell you.

lightning bolt never disappoints.
