thinking about picking up an imperial star floor tom.

i've got an artstar rack tom and a superstar snare and i love them both, but the imperials are laminated in plastic apparently? that doesn't seem very ideal though i guess they are durable.

anyone have any experience with these?

what i am going for basically is as thunderous a kit as possible on my i'm-starving-budget.

If loud is what you're after, I'm sure that one will do nicely.

Make sure you cover that plastic with stickers.
