Do not be seduced by the Grill on Congress. My girlfriend and I went there last night, and I swear that each time I go there it gets worse. This time, a cockroach scurried under our table.

I grew up a golf orphan and learned to despise the game.
A bunch of rich fuckos isolating themselves from people who actually, you know, do stuff all day.

That said, most of the people I know who play now are regular folks. I think the culture of golf have changed a lot over the last 20 years. Regular, decent people play it now.

It's been raining for 5 weeks here in Boston.

It's 106 degrees (41 celsius) in Tucson.

My 5am flight on Thursday morning seems more appealing by the rain-soaked minute.

Apparently taxis are $50 each way from the airport to the hotel, but the hotel will provide a shuttle for $37 round trip. Presumably this is a good deal, so fax your shuttle request in!

Now that was a good conference - but more because of the people I met than the conference sessions. The hotel's remote location meant that more people stayed around the pool and bar after the sessions each day, which meant lots of schmoozing.

Let me just say that every EA forum member I met was great. I've made lots of new friends and hope to see you again in September at the 25th festival.

MTAR, Rob V, Greg, Steve, Bob Weston, Chris Garges - you are all stellar human beings. Salut!

I wish I had met some EA forum people - one's that I didn't know already, that is. I did meet a ton of folks though.


As great as my town is, I wish we had a Hotel Congress. That place is amazing.

I got a midnight tour of Craig's Wavelab studio, ate at the fine fine Poca Cosa *and* Little Poca Cosa. Chicago Music is my new favorite guitar store.

After 3 years of being on panels at TapeOpCon, I can say that I've never been treated any better at any other conference held by anyone.

The Cons just keep getting better. Giganto Salut to Larry, Craig and everyone who did such a great job.
I'll be there next year.
