Czech Republic travel advice sought

I will dig out my trip diary from Prague to find the address of the absolute best meal I have ever had: a steak from the White Cow.

I stayed at the Aparthotel Denisa which was clean and right next to the Devicka subway station.

I don't care how many people tell you "oh, this is SUCH a tourist thing to do" but dammit, GO SEE THE ASTRONOMICAL CLOCK. It takes 10 minutes of your time, and it's pretty cool. It's been running like that since 1490. 1490!

In Kutna Hora, which is just outside Prague (a short ride by bus, IIRC), there is the Sedlec Ossuary - a rally neato bone repository where some eccentric sculptor named Rint took the skulls and spines and such from dead people and made them into chandeliers and such. Awesome.

I also went to Cesky-Krumlov, where Egon Schiele spent some time with his good pal Gustav Klimt ogling young girls and making some amazing art. The Koh-i-Noor "factory" was there too, and I watched some old guys assembling Rapidograph pens for an hour.

Prague is beautiful, in a fairy-tale sort of way. There's lots of stuff to see. I can't wait to go back.
I make music/I also make pretty pictures
