Radiohead have some good songs. "2+2=5" is a good song. "The National Anthem" is a good song. "There, There" is a good to great song.

Thom Yorke is good front guy, I think. I like looking at him. I'm not a big fan of his singing voice, though. Plus, Thom Yorke, in the documentary Meeting People Is Easy, uses the word "pro-active". Which is CRAP.

On the whole, the attempt to cross between art rock and arena rock is petty and unremarkable. I don't see that as much of an accomplishment. Yet, in itself, I think they pull it off much better than (1970's) Pink Floyd, or U2 for that matter.

"Creep" is an atrocity of a song.

On the whole, NOT CRAP. But barely.

Anyone heard the new Thom Yorke solo album, The Eraser? I wanted to hate it but can't...If you are curious check out the track "Skip Divided." The album as a whole is a little too "electronic-y" for me personally but there are a lot of cool little guitar and bass loops and software programming in there, as well as (obiviously) some great vocal melodies. Though his lyrics seem to get worse and worse. Hm.
There are crispy fries waiting to come out of your oven: you just have to make them and put them there.

I didn't want to hate it and I don't.
I think it's a damn cool record after two listens. We'll see how it holds up.

Radiohead are fine. Saw them live in Sydney a few years ago and they went far beyond my expectations. I like all their post OK Computer albums, particularly Kid A and Amnesiac. I have trouble with OK Computer. I think it is a bit too overwrought or something and a bit guitar anthemy. The bends and HTTT are ok.

really one of my favorite bands. they use an ondes martenot, ffs! just saw them a couple weeks ago and i realized that they're one of the few bands that i listen to where i can withstand more than about 45 minutes live. and in fact would be happy with a 4+ hour show. as they age, they seem to be getting funkier. i'm slightly afraid that they're going to pull a talking heads/paul simon move, but so far no dice... not crap.
