Not one mention of Big Trouble in Little China! For shame!

I love Carpenter. Even when he's sucking so hard it actually shrinks the aspect ratio of the film, I love him. Unabashed B-movie worship. Everything he makes drips with his enthusiasm for the sheer fun of filmmaking.

Mr. Carpenter, you are NOT CRAP.

John Carpenter, in my mind, is synonymous with Ghosts of Mars, which is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. But, after the initial cringe incurred by the thought of Ghosts of Mars, Vampires, and the Fog, I tend to think of the Thing, which is probably the only redeeming thing he has ever directed, and it was not an original.

Escape From New York was entertaining, but not a movie I consider very good.

"Tall guy, weird clothes. First you see him, then you don't. "

"Would you just stop rubbing your body up against mine, because I can't concentrate when you do that. "

"Everybody relax, I'm here."

John Carpenter seems to bring out the best in Kurt Russell.
