Band: God Bullies
4I understand this band is a very acquired taste; however, i cannot stop listening to these guys. WHY did they have to fuck it all up with their last album?!
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
Band: God Bullies
5Mama Womb Womb, Dog Show, and War On Everybody
.... Way down low like a buffalo, give it to me real slow, push it in and I pull it out, it makes me scream and it makes me pout... I like it like that ...

6God Bullies always come in pair for me - with the Cows
Nowadays I enjoy listening to "mature" records of the Cows - from Cunning Stunts on ...
And it's opposite with God Bullies - strictly early records which are creepy and great:

7Has anyone heard/seen Th3y N3v3r Sl33p? Mike, David, and Adam, plus Karen Neal from a band named Queen Bee. Their MySpace page has no songs listed, and their homepage looks as if it's still under construction. Next show is on May 2 in Hamtramck, MI.

8Their shows were creepy as well. Mike "Hard" would come out on stage all proper and conservative-looking in a business suit. Once the band started playing, he'd go into a wild fit: shaking, eyes rolling, feeling himself up, tearing his clothes off. Before the end of the show, he'd often be stage-diving into the audience completely naked while drooling and convulsing.
I remember thinking during one of their shows at the Avalon, "That guy's really taking some risk, jumping into a crowd of strangers all naked like that. What if somebody grabbed and yanked off his balls or something?"

9Great band.
Randall, thank you so much! I've got to go to the Hamtramck show! I had no idea that Mike and David were in a band again. So this is the product of the "reunion" that never got off the ground in 2004.
I have long considered Mamawombwomb to be one of the more fucked-up and scary records that came out of AmRep, which is saying something. Aside from one duff track ("What Reason"), every song makes it. I even taught myself a couple of the songs off it.
I always have felt that Dog Show and Plastic Eye Miracle were disappointments in comparison, though still good. (I do love that Southern preacher sound collage title track on Plastic Eye - hilarious.)
Overall, not crap. I still need to get War On Everybody and Kill The King - Ace, I don't get the hate for that record, the one song I heard off that, "King of Sling," was fucking great - but yeah, I love me some God Bullies.
For Panic and everyone:
God Bullies live in Austin part 1
God Bullies live in Austin part 2
God Bullies live in Austin part 3

10Woah. Almost forgot about this band. Mamawombwomb is great. In fact, I'm gonna go put it on right now.
