I dunno if it qualifies as a "big" album, but I think the Libraness album Yesterday and Tomorrow's Shells was done (at least mostly) on cassette 4-tk.

If you're talking ERP LPs (and pretty much everything after the very early singles) then I think you'll find they were recorded on a 388.

Whether his most recent ones are or not, I have no idea.

Jeff Mueller "Fold and Perish" was recorded on a Tascam
488, 8 track cassette. Same machine I used to have.

That was done on a badass 4-track. Probably a Studor. The old ads comparing Sgt. Pepper to the Fostex X15 were misleading.

I think the question had more to do with DIY 4 tracking.

Jason Falkner put some stuff out this way, but that's not that "big."
