Why is the Audion Compressor from B not listed on your page? Do you guys still have it?

I was wondering where one of those could be acquired. From what I remember, it was a neat sounding, Russian made unit. Ive been looking around for them on Ebay and also searching the web, but I am not getting anywhere. Any info would be appreciated.
thanks

We've only got about 80 percent of our stuff on the equipment pages so far. There was an initial spurt of interest on the part of the staff: "O! The possibilities! Let us to make an astounding web-page! We will have all the equipment and all the things and all the other things. It will be a glorious web-page!" Since everybody discovered the forums, nobody's given a shit.

I intend to slap some of this into order, but then I intend to do a lot of things...

Well, it is an astounding web page even without all the features completely completed (?). It is an excellent resource for audio enthusiasts and engineers and also a provides a wealth of online entertainment. Thanks.

If y'all are interested in suggestions:
Since the page is so large and has so many features, I think, especially in these early stages where things are rapidly changing on the site, it would be cool to have a specified place on the forum where you guys can list/document new additions to the webpage. You could also post any new equipment purchases to keep us audio nerds on our toes.

thanks again for a good place to digitally hang out

The microphones section is very useful for beginers like me. Maybe all the engineers here know all about the mics, but it´s a great guide to spend money with some sense when you do not kwon nothing.

so...

thank you for writing it. :D

How does it compare soundwise to an 1176? I know they have different input stages. I can't imagine that the 1178 is just the stereo version of the original blackface 1176.
Thanks, max.

I don't feel that 1178 units are 'stereo versions' of 1176 units. The internal circuitry is quite different in several points throughout both units.
I know that Universal Audio just released a true stereo 1176. Man, I hope it sounds good because I've been waiting for this one. I can't believe how many decades it has taken. The controls for Attack and Release aren't shared for both channels like what you have on the 1178.

Don't get me wrong. The 1178 is a good compressor in its own right. Its sonic signature definitely puts it in the Urei 11xx family. Yet, it is a different box and has its own place in the rack.

Man, that was vague. Sorry.
I can 'hear' the sounds in my head, but lack the faculty to describe it at the moment.

It's so friggin' new that there is barely any info on there site about it.

Back to the Audion. Is that the 1U Dual Comp that goes by the name of Model PS 3010? I haven't seen one of those in a long time.
If I'm thinking of the wrong unit, please post a picture of the real deal so I can gawk.

Thanks!
