Band: Bailter Space

I saw a Rapeman / Flour show where Steve got under the stage and 'adjusted' the pre amplifier of the house PA so the vocals would enough to be heard over the insane stage volume of the amplifiers.

Bailter Space were WAY louder. Internal-organ-flutteringly loud.

Same structure for every droning song.
But so good.

Same fucking drum fills before every change.

Still good.

Drummer triggering fucking guitar chord samples on a drum pad.

And yet, so good.

Really silly lyrics.

And yet, still so good.

Not crap.

A band i never quite got at the time. I had an ex who would have died for this band. This woman is now a lesbian, rock climber who doesn't listen to any music whatsoever.

We have most of the albums used at the store. i've been throwing them on for last couple a months. I was a dumb kid who was missing out on a great band.

Not cRap.
ChoCko is back in town!

NOT CRAP.

The song "SHINE" off the 7" they released on Clawfist records is probably my favourite song of all time, it's 90's sonic noise with elements of 80's new wave lost somewhere deep in the mix. Invokes some sort of nostalgic feeling that I can't quite place every time I hear it. Everything up to and including Robot World is also brilliant.

I once asked Alister what Bailter Space meant, and he said it didn't have any meaning. Nice guys, all of them.
