Wire
4I saw Wire at the Barbican in London for the Pink Flag concert. And the vibe sounds similar to the Barcelona gig. I've been to a lot of "high-brow" rock gigs and this is usually the case. Especially in the UK, shame it happened in Spain.
I've seen Tortoise, Shellac, Tom Ze and a bunch of others and you always get the "chin-scratchers" who are there to be seen. Fugazi gigs are always great because "chin-scratcher" to "punk-rock-kid" ratio is very low.
Fuck it, you had a great time and thats all that matters. I play in a band in London and continually get frustrated at the lack of an audience that "gets down"... And we aren't even crap...

Wire
5WIRE sort of revitalized me, as far as my cynicism of the shelf life of a good band. Their recent live shows are amazing. Their new series of releases are amazing. Amazing!
Seriously though, it's such a great feeling as a music admirer to have a band that you love come out with something that still gives you goosebumps and makes you bob yr head up and down and make forty copies on all media just to make sure you have it available.

But I digress. Please continue with the squirrel circuit semantic debate.
