I think they are just playing out an archetype that was created 30 years ago or whatever.. It doesn't come off like kids who think they're being original at all. There are always going to be certain characters played by different actors. I think they do what they do really well and I have nothing against young people playing this stuff because frankly, they have a lot of energy.
