I also love the limo scene.
I really enjoy when the guy at the Air Force Base tells them their stage time in military time and the bassist says something to the effect of "we have what like 3800 hours?"
im sure i butchered that, but the number is hilarious whatever he says.

52"Anyway, this is what I sleep in sometimes."
All of the one-on-one exchanges between Marty and Nigel are priceless, but the ridiculous conversation about the green skeleton t-shirt is my favorite. To this day, when my attempt at making a point ends badly, usually due to being weed-addled, I'll say, "Anyway, this is what I sleep in sometimes" in my best Nigel accent.
Virtually no one gets it.

There is a montage of him threatening people with it and destroying stuff. He busts the screen on a T.V. and it blows up and the look on Derrick Smalls face as he's sitting on the hotel room floor a few feet from it breaks me up every time.
That's probably mine too.
script wrote:Marty: Yeah. Now, I notice this here, you've got this cricket bat here...
Ian: Yes.
Marty: Do you play?
Ian: No, I carry this partly of, uh, I don't know some sort of, uh, I
suppose what's the word...uh....
Marty: Affectation?
Ian: Yes, I mean it's, it's, a it's a kind of totemestic thing you know,
but to be quite frank with you, it's come in usefull in a
couple of situations. Certainly in the topsy, turvy world of
heavy rock, having a good solid piece of wood in your hand is
quite often...useful.
Marty: mhmh.
Mr. Chimp wrote:Where there is a montage of Nigel's soloing, and he picks up the violin and rakes the strings across the guitar strings and then stops for a sec and spot-tunes the violin and then continues raking.
That too was superb. Very clever. The tuning bit just took it to an extra level.

If you watch the end if this scene, you just catch them crack up before the scene is cut, also the whole "shit sandwich" album review scene, was totally improvised and there's lots of trying not to laugh there, I like watching the whole film to try and catch moments like these.
My Favourite "bit" though is when they play the monthly "at-ease" weekend at Lindberg Air Force Base.
The Airforce bloke said: "I was thinking of having you go on stage about 19:00 hours, the time now I make it is 18:30 hours...."
The confused looks of David St Hubbins and Derek Smalls:
"What, so that's what.....200 hours, 17 hours......?"
Every time me and a mate get the time in 24 hour clock we always quote this line.

57I haven't seen Spinal Tap in ages, but a couple come to mind:
the scene where Derek Smalls gets stuck in the plastic pod thing
the Derek Smalls cucumber scene at the airport
the midgets dancing around the Stonehenge model
the piano song called lick my lovepump
