I've been having a few YouTube intensive evenings - I won't bombard you with all the Alexander O'Neal greatness I found. YouTube just announced they're cutting a deal with major labels so that, within eighteen months, every music video ever made will be available on YouTube for free. It has a nasty rubber stamp from The Man on it, but I think that's pretty awesome news (and impossible, but that's another discussion).

I just this minute found the third of these videos.

Josef K are one of my all-timers. It frustrates me that the band that produced Chance Meeting and Sorry For Laughing, among others, should split after one album so that their singer could go and blow, and blow hard.

Smash Hits magazine in the UK voted Paul Haig 'Best Haircut in Pop Music' in 1983, I believe it was. The hair beat the music, that's fo' sho'.

Oh God...Josef K invented Franz Ferdinand with "Chance Meeting." And it's so much better than any of their songs that it's pitiful.

Seriously, "Chance Meeting" is one of the most godly singles of the last 25 or so years. Good God, what a song...
Life...life...I know it's got its ups and downs.
