Best King Crimson album

Folks that answered Red should probably buy the new CD reissue of Robert Fripp's Exposure lp. He was in a very Red frame of mind when writing allot of the stuff. Exposure also features some terrific Daryl Hall and Peter Hammill vocals.

Red too

Exposure is pretty good, but stuff like Burn Me Up I'm a Cigarette and
the song about the family screaming (I think it's called NYC3 or something)
gives me the douche-chills. The frippertonics on this record are some of the
best recorded. I'm a big fan of Let The Power Fall, but the sound-scapes
on Exposure are far more calming, even with the tapes of the end of the
world. Calcutta is doomed man. Doomed.

Not his best work imo. He's always just a little creepy and awkward when he
tries to do something that isn't in the scope of his personal life. Meditation has
left him wildly out of touch with rage and anger. And maybe passion.

exposure seems like an odds and ends comp, which are rarely good. it has moments but there's a lot of cheese there. peter hammill's voice is good for a laugh but not good for much else.

Chicago gives me the most serious chills-of-douche.

The song, not the city. Thought I better clarify...

Dicipline and Lark's Tongues. Though about half of Lark's Tongues can be edited out.

Also, listening to Dicipline makes me want to get a JC-120, and that is bad.

Red is the only one I have - 'Starless' is an incredible song. I will be listening to that tonight, when I get home.

The Great Deceiver as live choice.

They aren't as good without Bruford. Pat doesn't quite cut it on his own and drags the music down IMO.

i like red but i like discipline more to be honest. its got loads of great guitar playing with strange dstrange noises, frame by frame in particular
