This one's on my short list for new car this year. I didn't know anything about its pricing until last week - it's cheaper than I thought it'd be. However, I still know very little about it . Much research to do. I worry some about repair and maintenance once it's out of warranty.

GO for it.

after much consideration with my parents (I still live at home), we bought a prius, and it's great. The fuel mileage is amazing. Just fill it when there are two bars on the ten-bar fuel light and all you'll ever pay for a tank of gas is $20.

There are two drawbacks, one pretty minor and one not so minor:

It's only a ten-gallon tank. But it really lasts a damn long time.

It's not very good in snow. I don't know why, but it is really not very good in snow. There were at least a couple times this winter where my brakes just did not do their job, and I came close to having an accident. I'm not sure if this is due to how I drive or how the Prius drives, but there you go. I personally think it's the car.
