No kiddin'. Bob San is ace.

But I ate there on Sunday so I don't think there's any sushi left.

Yes, this place looks quite perfect. Do they serve alcohol? Do you know how late they are open?

Thanks!

Yeah, Bob San is really good... although it is a strange feeling eating a sushi dinner right were the stage used to be when it was the Bop Shop. Oh Division Street! I used to know you!

Sushi Wabiis a pretty great place for more of the modern, creative roll type sushi. They are not so much about the traditional pieces. They do a ton of crazy multi-leved rolls. It is pretty pricey and more often filled with rich suit wearing folks. Still, their food rocks!

They have a full bar. I think they serve food til at least midnight, and maybe 1 am on weekends? Call them. The number is 773 235 8888

For rolls, I recommend the

CRUNCHY VEGETABLE Sweet potato tempura, avocado, cucumber, spicy mayo, with crunchy tempura crumbs

For a la carte Sashimi I like

SAKE Smoked salmon
it's not the length, it's the gersch

Oh, thank you so much, Chicagoans, for your tasty sushi suggestions. We went to Bob San and it was just perfect.

I had the bestest weekend since ATP 2002. Chicago was lovely, even in its chilly and raininess (maybe especially so) and all the people from near and far were SO FINE! Saw peeps from ALL facets and pockets of my mid-length life! Some I expected to see, but many were complete and total beautiful surprises. And the music, of course, was divine.

So, we went out for Sushi last night. Kind of an expensive nice sushi place.

I order some soft shell crab thing and the dude says 'maybe you'd like to try a fish dish instead'

I say 'If I wanted a fish dish I would have ordered a fish dish I want this crab dish'

He says 'The fish is very fresh, we got a delivery today'

I ask 'Is the crab rotten or something?'

'No, the crab is fresh as well'

'Then give me the crab! Like I ordered'

He brought it and it was delicious. What the fuck was that all about? Anyone know? When he went and told the chef, they both looked at me like I had done something terrible.
Was it inappropriate to order crab for some reason? Why's it on the fucking menu?
