i had the opposite reaction - while i love ted leo's records, i was sorta underwhelmed by the live show. on the other hand, GVSB ruled school for me.
a female friend observed "there's a lot of dudes with bad posture here."

Their stoned asses took forever setting up, everyone else had their shit ready to go.
The band was tight as hell, but they need to lose Napoleon Dynamite up front. Fucking loser that guy is.
I agree he is annoying and his voice is awful but his antics do add a little something, I was enjoying hating him is what I'm saying...when both dudes started just grunting and screaming and stopped trying to sing they were a lot better off

73GVSB absolutely killed. It was a monster. there are pictures on flickr.
Shipping News was good.
The rest we left for the kids. they seemed to like it, but we did not. It's a good thing we can move on to Saturday.
Anyone went to the bearclaw show ? What's going on after the show tonight ?

Note to !!!: Chicago isn't Williamsburg, you don't have to berate the audience for not dancing.
I look forward to today.
I will be wearing the very same cowboy shirt I wore in the "what do you look like" thread, for easy location.
Biggest bummer: I will not be able to bring my camera, cos there are some neato buildings around the Hideout.

75I was unfamiliar with !!!
Imagine Jamiroquai playing a college frat house, and he passes the mike to a couple of really confident frat guys who desperately want to get up on stage. It was pretty embarrassing.
