I love the mutts, but I had wanted a pug since I was about 16 years old and went to my uncles house and saw his--I finally ended up buying one when I went on a hot streak at the poker tables when I was playing for a living a few years back.

My original plan was to have a black male and female and name them Rufus and Chaka Khan, but the gf put the kibosh on that plan.

We actually got the Weezie for free as she had a hernia when she was born so the breeder couldn't sell her but was looking for a good home for her and we were already in discussions about coming to pick her up so she gave her to us at no charge. I like to call it the 2 for 1 pug special.

I was resistant to fawns for awhile, because the black ones don't get enough press but after getting Weezie, I'm an equal opportunity owner. Oh, and they're waiting for their cuddles...they've got kisses for everyone!

I want that special, please.

Lots and lots of free dogs out there. Enough for everyone! (I find paying hundreds of dollars for a dog borderline obscene considering the state of animal shelters, but that's me. I understand the attraction of knowing your dog's ultimate size and at least a reasonable prediction of temperament. which I'm assuming are the two most common reasons for buying one from a breeder.)
