Band: Melvins

I wish they'd stop using pro tools. Melvins! Pro Tools is not suitable for your rock!
EDIT:Melvins, seriously! Stop using Pro Tools. You are an abrasive hard rock band. It sounds fucking stupid.
I couldn't agree more with you Mama. However, I think that the problem is that Buzz just doesn't give a fuck. And I guess, after thinking about it, I can see where he's coming from...I mean, how many of their fans base their devotion to them solely on their albums?
I can't tell you how many times I've been talking to someone and they say, "Yeah, I've heard a few of their records and they just didn't really do anything for me." But after I finally convince them that they need to go to one of their shows...they're fans for life.
The Melvins are a "live band." Plain and simple. That's why they tour relentlessly. They know that's why people still like them. And I think that's why Buzz doesn't really care a whole lot how their records sound.
All that said, I personally would love it if they would ditch the pro-shtools. I would gladly sign your petition. Hell, while we're at it...why not start one to try and convince them to record at EA?!? I'd shit myself in glee if Steve recorded the Melvins.
Oh, and fuck Mars Volta.

83Holy shit, the Melvins in Brooklyn! That's going to be insanely loud.

85I haven't heard any of the new tracks yet but people who have seem pretty excited about it.
I read that two guys from a band called Big Business are playing with them now and that at least one of those guys was in Karp.
I don't know for sure if its true but it makes alot of sense to me. Karp was a great band and the first time I heard their song "Forget the Minions" I was almost positive it was a Melvins song.

86There are only 2 guys in Big Business and they whip big ass. The bassist/vocalist is from Karp and the drummer was in Murder City Devils.
If they join the Melvins on stage in Brooklyn, the forecast calls for a high chance of pants-shitting.
