Somewhere between the digitally contrived snare drum (complete with rusty coffee can decay), the extra few decibels that magnify James Hettfield's deteriorated pitch and faded lyrical prowess, the lack of any form of guitar solo, a complete disregard for the timeless wisdom of the statement "quit while your ahead", songwriting that resembles a half-hearted geriatric resuscitation of Garage Days, and.... fuck it, you already know its Saint Anger. After reading the posts regarding A Year and a Half in the life of Metallica, I was surprised no one had brought this one up yet.

Who can deny the genius of such lyrics as "I'm madly in anger with you" or "Saint Anger round my neck/he never gets respect"?

My favorite is, "My life style determines my death style." If Roy doesn't pull through maybe they'll play at his funeral....

Having worked at used record stores for over ten years i can came to a conclusion on how to know if a cd is going to suck even before listening. I can prove mathmatically whether a cd is going to fellate turds or not. The formula is real simple and nearly foolproof------

The more photos a band or artist includes of themselves in their cd booklet the more they are going to suck goat ass.

There are over 80 (yes i counted) pictures of metallica in that piece of crap cd of theirs "load". I knew before even playing it it was going to be as Bill Walton puts it "hoooooribleeeeeeee!!!!!!".

They did not sell out because their music changed. I never expected them to do ride the lightning for the next 15 years. They could play c&w if thats what they are into, and still not be selling out.
They sold out when they decided to put on makeup and pouty tough guy faces and fill their cd's with 7 dozen stupid ass photos of themselves. They don't even look cool. Just stupid. They are to me a major dissapointment. All they are now are just a parody of themselves.

The only jackoffs who do shit like this are boybands, lame punk bands with stupid tatoos and dumbass haircuts and silly outfits, brittany spears like divas, and STING.

no one wrote "i'm madly in anger with you" if they did that's too fucked up to even quote, really metallica is so metallic that any comment is redunddantheir. i wish i could put a little swastika here.

The only thing worse than their new music is Lars. Lars loves to hear Lars speak. I'm sure he'd clone himself just to have sex with his favorite person in the whole wide world. Lars.
Bob Rock and Wayne Isham were the worst goddamn things to ever happen to Metallica. Their albums and videos are on par with... well.. goat turds and owl pellets. Newstead was smart to leave that crap.
