Wiffleball game on Tuesday

i have never seen a girl throw a wiffleball directly into the ground in an attempt to pitch it towards a batter. Therefore, Faiz, in my opinion you throw very much unlike a girl. But, as Harry Kalas used to say of Milt Thompson, you run well.

wiffleball was great! I jammed my finger! It's the first sport-related injury I've had in years. The ache feels amazing.

Midge forgot to mention the 57 walks. There was talk of expanding the strike zone.

Defensive highlights: Midge's sliding centerfield shoestring grab, Russ's over-the-shoulder basket catch, the Greg-John triple play, and Andy's daisy-picking, sedentary handling of my grounder to third to end the game.

Hopefully next week we'll have access to the park!

Ha ha! Yeah, I suck at sports. There are lots of girls that play sports way better than I play sports. What was I thinking?

Faiz,

I recommend getting a wiffle ball and setting up a chair and trying to hit it from about 30 feet away at your house. That's what Greg and I do almost everyday. You'll be suprised how quickly you improve your pitching with a wiffle ball.

There's not too many things greater than throwing insane pitches with a wiffle ball. As you witnessed from Andy K's gloating after his 1-2-3 inning (full of off-speed junk) last night.

Although there's talk of expanding the strike zone, I'm really against it. A natural strike (a non-swinging one) should be pretty rare in my opinion.

I think last night was a very "natural" wiffle ball game. The team that was way ahead had all the freedom to swing away. Whereas our team had to do anything it could (walk) to get on base.

After playing on the grass I think I prefer that now. With the light sprinkle of rain we were able to slide and make diving plays.
I feel proud that we played though the rain and that my team pounded the other.
My favorite moment was when Brian Orchard took his first swing. It looked like he was swatting at a bee while another stung him in the ass.
Next time we'll be playing for dinners.
