Seattle Scratch Acid show?

noooo! i was going to seattle anyway and my friend had kindly put me on the list since he figured i'd probably have missed most of them at t&g due to drinking or gassing or some shit! but i can happily say i was elated to find out they were playing after not seeing too much in chicago.

I'd find that hard to believe, since you and I had a conversation through about a quarter of their T&G25 set.

An excellent people-watching show. Lots of "circa '85" Scratch Acid t-shirts (sleeves optional), lots of punk rock paunch on display. Not really scary like the Caustic Resin fan base (who apparently can empty every meth lab west of Ritzville by word of mouth alone), but definitely not time-sharing candidates. The lack of hipsters (probably due to the utter lack of coverage in The Stranger) was a welcome change.

And I got to finally meet TheWarden and James. As TheWarden and I were standing in front of TheShowbox after determining that we did, in fact, e-know each other from this here forum, I expressed my apprehension about referring to people by forum their usually arbitrary forum handles. He rolled up his sleeve to show the excellent "The Warden" tatoo on his arm. Jaw agape, I said that that's a lot better than something like SexMaster69. "That's on the other arm," he said. Two points!

There was much rejoicing! And Gorch Fock, in spite of their impressive face-to-face drummer duo, was a little cacophonous and their band member to quantity of rock brought ratio was a little high. Your mileage may have varied.
