OR
Watching a dog "chase" something in it's sleep.

All three of these things pretty much make life worth living.

Also, right after my dog is done taking care of some major business on her morning walk, she'll step forward a few feet and then kick up a bunch of dirt and grass with her two back legs, all the while looking up at you with that happy dog look of "Look what I just did!"

God DAMN I love that.
My dog only does that once a week or so, but I'm trying to reinforce it by saying "yeah! good dog! who's a gooood dog? you're a GOOOOD dog!!" everytime she does.

Kick ass! Dogs rule!

I have a cat right now that does this. It's still awesome...

Yes, my feline buddy Percy does this, and my Mom has 4 cats, but the only one of hers that does it is Percy's mama, Miss Kitty, which makes me wonder if it is a genetic trait(!?)

The best part about watching a cat do this (sorry to derail the thread just a little) is that they don't usually stay upright while they do it - i.e. not staying "standing" on their legs and doing horizontal rotations that are parallel to the floor or ground.

Percy will sometimes get going on a roll where he does about a half a dozen slanted "electron orbits" in a row, and that shit is priceless.

Yes. The first time my puppy did this, it began as an upright, carrousel-style rotation, but lacking the proper footwork, it turning into a roll across the floor, ferris wheel technique. The tail was caught. Now, she's on all fours. Chasing your tail improves your footwork. Footwork: Not Crap.
Our band.
