For what it's worth, I think there's been at least one or two times on this message board where I responded to someone by saying "Uruguay", which was a reference to this episode. I figured nobody would ever catch it. Maybe people might have!
Homer trying to remember, "what was it my dad always used to say?" ... thought bubble, and he remembers his dad saying "son, if you can't
build a robot,
BE a robot!!"
The Duff Gardens episode where Lisa drinks the water in the small world ride and starts tripping...
In the Hullabalooza episode, when Peter Frampton is playing and Otto says "Woah! That guy's guitar is talkin! And so are my shoes!!" and his shoes have mouths and they say "don't worry, we won't hurt you".
Same episode, is it Billy Corgan that says "Woo-hoo!! I'm gonna buy a walk-in humidor!"
Homer at dinner wearing all black pants and sweater and a black knit cap, and when Marge asks him what he's planning on doing that night he says something like "certain deeds..."
Homer drunkenly negotiating with the dragon (that's flying alongside their plane to China) about how many peanuts he's willing to give it.
There's just way too many. One of my single favorite lines of all from the Simpsons, though, is in the Laddie episode, when Bart is going to get Santa's Little Helper back from the blind guy, and Lisa says something about "promise you'll try to not hurt the blind guy" or something like that, and Bart says "I can't promise I'll try, but I'll
try to try." So good.
Same episode, when the cops come and Laddie, who is now a police dog, goes in the blind guy's pocket and pulls out a bag of weed, and then Lou the cop says "hey Chief, it could be medicinal" and the blind guy says "Uh, yeah! without it, I could go... even... blinder?" and then all the cops come over and Marley starts playing and Chief Wiggum is singing "I'm Jamming"
I think probably every episode that Conan O'Brien had a hand in has at least one or two crack-me-up lines. There are at least hundreds if not more than a thousand great Simpsons quotes. And of course there are entire websites devoted to them where you can find some great ones you forgot about. Unless you're like me and you watch all 3 episodes that are on every weekday on Fox.
