microphones on airplane?

My guess is something like:

"Hmm, nice anal probes sir. You must be a doctor." He'll then proceed to pull down his pants, bend over and say. "What do you think this is?"

It could happen. Do you have then factory storage box and spec sheet? Take that to verify they are only microphones. Then that guard will feel really dumb for showing you his rectum.

I've been through 12 different airports in the last two years with everything from Earthworks to tiny laviliers to U47's, and never had a problem. I even took two unlabeled black boxes with two wafer switches and an LED (power supplies for my SM98's) through DFW, Heathrow, Gatwick, and O'Hare, and no one even flinched.

Either that, or they take one look at me and realize if I try anything, I can't run very fast and I'll be really easy to catch.

Then again, you do have "chaotic evil" written all over you. In a good way, of course.

A couple of years ago, on a flight back home from New York, one of the airport security people smiled at me and asked: " Excuse me, but is that a hand granate in your bag, sir?" after he discoverd a D112 on his x-ray monitor. I smiled back "Oh, I'm sorry, I've forgotten to take it out!". He smiled again, I could go through, no problem. That was a couple of years ago, I'm sure that I don't want to try that again.
