i) I cooked a world class Thai curry but fucked my thumb up a bit chopping the Lemongrass. The pain of chilli and ginger in a small, deep cut is absolutely exquisite.

There is a rather eccentric homeless man known to anyone who frequents the Mission District of San Francisco that dresses like an aging member of Warrant and plays his (incredibly fucked up) folk songs on his (completely out of tune) guitar. A sample of lyrics: "Spider Man, Spider Man, doing whatever Spider Man does, fly in the air, I don't care, Spider Man, Spider Man."

He often "rests" a few houses down from mine, talking to anyone that goes by, often teasingly, always very funny. Tonight as I walked by he was yelling at some homeless latinos across the street "Mi casa su casa, pendejo motherfuckers!!!" When I came back an hour later there was an ambulance outside and one of the latino men was in handcuffs in a cop car. I hope everyone is ok.

Interesting--as did I. A friend was involved in a lodge's 50th anniversary, so I was invited to the dinner. Interesting people. Bagpipes. Haggis (surprisingly good). A fine time was had by all.

I have to admit, I kept singing that Buzzmuscle song to myself every time they talked about "Brothers of the Craft" and such.

The rooms I went into reminded me of casinos. Strange light, no windows, no clocks.

Probably not. It did come up, and that's pretty much what they said, but I wouldn't call it insistent. On the other hand, yeah, no windows and a casino-like ambience.
