I broke out King Crimson's 'Red' last night.
I copied it over to my iPod and listened to it while doing dishes and cleaning house in order to drown out the meaninglessness of 'Project Runway', which my wife loves and must listen to at top TV volume.
Still as good, if not better, than the first time I heard it in college. The songwriting, the dynamics, the musicianship...all of it mindblowing.
Anything else strike you recently in this manner?
And where can I get that evil fuzz/distortion on some of the guitar tracks?
Lordy!
