32For all of you people who write in print instead of cursive, I'd like to ask, "Why?" Cursive is SO much quicker, and chixdiggit, too.

When you can fit a complex sentence into a 3-inch space, the difference between cursive writing and printing becomes less significant than the difference between a SM57 and a SM58. My cursive script resembles Arabic in microfiche...

daniel, my mum thinks you have nice handwriting.
i used be highly praised for my neat hadwriting in junior school, even being asked to write valentines cards and shit for illiterate fools. when i got to secondary school, i noticed how some people would write their lower case 'a' like<< that. there were all sorts of little quirks that i used to try and copy.
then, i stopped writing in fountain pen and moved onto biro and my hadwriting went to shit. i can hardly read it now, i have to print in an almost childlike way to ensure it is legible. otherwise, i just muddle through. i was very good at forging hadwriting when i was younger...

Like this?
(Anyone who gets it is an even bigger nerd than I am.)
is that a rune from lord of the rings?
I started crossing my "7"s and "z"s. i think it looks awesome. Also, i started writing "8"s with stacked circles instead of the cursive "infinity" version. And I also started putting the extra lines on my "1"s, instead of a straight line. When I write, i randomly switch from cursive to standard to caps. I think my hand just gets tired of writing and my brain reacts by changing what style im using.
Also, my handwriting changes drastically when I am drunk.
I remember entire writing papers by hand. That's so fucked!

I have done this ever since I can remember, but I did not learn it in school or from my parents. I do not know where it came from.

My father pounded this shit into me as a child. I was thrilled to cross the 7's, because of Barry Sheene:
The z's took some time.
My father's explanation was that it was important to cross 7's to differentiate them from 1's and to cross z's to differentiate them from 2's, lest I build a bridge referencing incorrect values, the bridge collapses killing hundreds of people, and my name as engineer would be shamed. There are some questionable elements to that explanation, one being that I had about as much aptitude to build bridges as I did to become a horse jockey, but I was five and I didn't really have the self confidence to call Pops out on it at that point in my life.
