Just dropping a line to let any lurking Slint fans know that a group of musicians in Boston will be performing "Spiderland" in its entirety in October. Deets can be found here: http://www.cultofpointbreak.org/news.html
If anyone happens to know what sort of gear the boys were using when they recorded the record, we'd love to know.
Best,
Shawn

2I wish I could move back to MA now!
The Slint legacy is still strong in that area, I'm sure it will be a big draw!
Good luck,
Chet

4The DOD American Metal pedal is mandatory. A Tele W/ Kahler and a squire Strat (also w/ kahler?) , I think.
Tama Superstar drums 13, 14 18, 24....
Bass? Some Aria Pro looking J/P potato thing.
Spectra amps? Peavy, Spectra, and Sunn cabs.
Hey, that was a long time ago...

5Unless I am missing something, the sponsors of this show seem to have a pretty good sense of humor. A "Tweez"-style photo of a DeLorean. Wtf?
Anyway, this photo might help solve some more equipment mysteries.

I left Emerson after 2 years but stayed in Boston for 4 more. Emerson was fun and all but you're not missing much. Except for the fact that it was 2/3 women and 1/3 of that 1/3 of guys were gay so as a straight guy you win. But it's warped because real life doesn't give you odds like that.
it's not the length, it's the gersch
