I'm a huge fan of Lisa's voice, though I don't really like the band. They get an A+ for effort, though.
If you haven't checked out the Now Time Delegation's Watch for Today LP on In the Red, with Lisa singing over Tim-Kerr-fueled bluesy soulfulness, put this album on your to-buy list. Great stuff.

12i saw them open for the Pixies in 05.. i liked their energy, and the singer had a great presence. Outside that, I didn't really dig their music.

13I purchased a Bell Rays record, based on a description of their music as "Steve Marriot--if he actually was a black woman--fronting the MC5 with Greg Ginn on guitar." How could I resist such an endorsement? What I heard was not quite what I'd been lead to expect. However spirited, it was undistinguished and forgettable, which is to say "crap."

I agree. In fact, listening to the tracks I thought of Steve. I don't get the Greg Ginn reference, but that's not the point.
It was some pretty good music created within the last few years. That counts for something in my book. I don't expect others to like what I like, and vice versa.
