This is a perfect example of a band who I should like, but don't for some reason. I love Big Star, Raspberries, The Sweet, and the Posies, but I can't stand this band at all.

I don't know why. I really wanted to.

my college friend at mizzou named karl weber was from hinsdale and we made a road trip one night to some party a friend of his was having. i ended up spending most of the night in a treehouse smoking grass, listening to teenage fanclub and having some asinine conversation about birth control with some deranged girl that i had never met before....

I've been into this lately. It sounded just plain shitty to me at first...like a really obvious, really lame Big Star ripoff...but it's not long before so many of those songs sound so original and beautiful...even though they're not terribly original at all. "Is This Music?" is a great fucking track. They don't even sing on that one.
