If anyone's interested, my band has two small photo sets on the web from our September session at Electrical Studio B. They're not super technical or anything, but since I personally enjoy looking at things like this, I thought I'd share them.

154- we haven't finished the record, so no mp3s till next year.
the kit is a C&C custom kit made here in Kansas City (http://www.candccustomdrums.com/)
with a vintage ludwig snare.
as far as the mics go, i can't remember everything that John used... i was pretty focused on the songs! i'll look at the pics again and see what i can remember...

you need more stuff w/ cables! when did the session take place? i passed through, and felt like like...john engineered...? sept, t&g...? right then... hope it was awesome!

yeah, we made quite the mess when we were recording. we were there on september 12th-15th. it was a really amazing thing for us. i'm already looking forward to doing another record there. next time, i'm going to eat at hot doug's everyday.

Minus Story, I have your "Captain is Dead..." album. I love it. Is the new one going to sound anything like that (from a production standpoint)?

tveyes: thanks for the kind words. the new record is more hi-fi than the captain, more of a "rock record" i guess... we have an ep coming out in the next couple weeks that's more like the captain in sound.
