At the great risk of embarrassing a compatriot and fellow Point beer enthusiast, I share with you the following Lost At Sea interview with the beautiful Tom Stack (i.e., "stackmatic" of this forum).

I encourage you to view Mr. Stack's work as well:

Stack is one of the good ones. He and his work deserve the recognition.
Salut, STACK!!!

2I put ice in the bird bath today. I enjoyed many types of bird behavior, and I thought of Mr. Stack.
Next time, I'll take pics.

3I saw this post and it reminded me I had seen a Wren in my garden this morning. I had just finished my morning run when I spotted it in the bushes at the front of my house. It hopped right up to the base of the steps, in front of my house, where I was sitting.
This shy bird is about the size of my thumb, and a comparatively rare sight in the british countryside let alone in the East End of London.
Here it is:

4I’d always wondered where Mr Stack’s avatar came from. It is clearly the best avatar of this forum.

6Mr. Stack's work is just wonderful, and it's always thrilling to see new work show up on his site, and elsewhere. (The CD/tray chimp on the new SKWM is a joy.) I really like seeing artists who develop their own vocabulary, and explore what they can do with it. Mr. Stack is working in a style that is clearly his own, and which apparently allows for endless variation. The pheasant painting is so good, particularly in its use of framing and space, that I wanted to yell or shout or something, but instead I just posted to this interwebnet chatboard thingy.

8this artwork from stackmatic is a good ones.
the interview is so good as well.
congratulations on making good art!
and thanks
funny how this art is making me want to go buy music albums by great band skwm and band .22 (which from songs i have heard, is great, but i have only heard 2 songs). that's a nice thought, how one type of art can support another like this.
the internet... it also is great, for without it, none of this would i know about

9I've been a fan of his for awhile...very original and a-musing
The birds-as-humans thing is genius, I'm particularly fond of the various bar birds, and was thrilled to see the barfly chimp on It'll Be Cool

10Yes, they are most excellent paintings, as I believe I've expressed before.
I hope not to offend the artist, but I am curious if there are any screenprint reproductions for purchase by people on tight budgets. I would be inclined to purchase an original, but alas, I am perenially broke and in debt.
Mr. Stack?
