I later found out the bottle was tossed by a friend of mine (very drunk at the time) who thought it would make our set "more punk rock." I suppose it did, but not in a good way.

I would guess 95% of things thrown at me onstage have been tossed by people I know. I wonder if that says something about what my friends think of me?

I have been swung at by a guy who was much, much bigger than me

I spat on the back of his head, he swung and did not connect, I then kicked the chair I was standing on into him, which connected with his shins, for a dude that carries some extra weight I am very fast on my feet, he walked off, If I would have gotten my ass beat I would have deserved it, but that never happens to me for some reason...

The last time I was assaulted on stage was with my first band and I ended up with Suntan lotion in my left eye. I was assaulted by our guitar player. A very attractive woman who I was crushed out on came up to me and said "You guys are so much fun!! Want to hang out tonight?" I couldn't concentrate because I was blind in my left eye.

Did a certain raspy-voiced, curly-haired singer that we both know do this?

in Eugene, OR on tour, i was physically pushed (bent over) the bass drum by a drunk guy who then wanted to "play pretend butt rape" . fun, right? the best part is when our guitarist then (in mid chord) lifted his guitar up and kicked the guy in his chest -- almost like a horse kick to the chest.

also, in an entirely different city & time, if you dress up in hockey/football/etc gear and ask the audience to "bring it on" - they will.....

Believe it or not, no. He might have been there, though. He's not so likely to throw stuff as to jump up on stage and ask to sing "Roadrunner."

People like that punchy guy (and apparently the bulk of that audience for that matter, who *laugh* about it?) should go fucking smash each other's heads with metal pipes until they've all killed each other. I hope that guy has to give all his money to Shore for the rest of his stupid, miserable redneck life.

And no, I've never been assaulted on stage. Maybe someday.

Seconded. This disgusts me.

And I really dislike Pauly Shore.
