I've been kinda into trying new cheeses lately. There is this incredible cheese shop near my house that has many types of strange and beautiful cheeses. They let you sample anything you want when you go in...it's pretty pricy tho so I'm not able to indulge all the time.

I love the spanish cheeses...Manchego is so wonderful all by itself or with a bit of Iberian Ham or smashed grapes, herbs and olive oil. Definately my favorite type of cheese right now.

A few new discoveries:

Pleasant Ridge Reserve from Wisconsin. It's an artesian cheese made in the "old ways"...down to the season of grazing by the single herd of cows. It's fairly hard, salty, nutty, creamy and godly. This stuff is so delicious on it's own...don't fuck it up by putting it on bread or crackers. Perhaps one of the tastiest cheeses to ever grace my palate. Sorta reminds me of a Manchego...but way better than anything I've tried before. Find it...eat it.

I can't remember the name of this Italian cheese my sister and I found. It was a small soft disc...a bit bigger than a hockey puck. It comes wrapped in cherry leaves. The cherry leaves imbue it with a fruity and woody flavor...oh man! I'll try to get the name of this....if you like the soft cheeses, you need to try this.

Humbolt Fog - Anyone ever try this? It's a creamy goat cheese with a single layer of vegetable ash in the middle. It has a really interesting flavor...it's light and sorta citrus-y and it has like a dusty/powdery flavor...I know that sounds weird but it's seriously delicious.

Anyway...I've been on this kick lately...so If anyone can recommend me some good cheeses to try, send 'em my way....especially the hard, nutty, salty , woody...manchego style.

I wanna try that "tit" cheese someone else was talking about here....I've seen pics and it does look like a nicely formed boob. mmmmm...booooobs filled with cheeeeeese.

Viva la queso!!!

nope....Bedford Cheese Shop on the corner of 4th and Bedford (i think?). It used to be located in that Bedford Mall thingy/place.....right across from this great little wine shop called Uva...which was convenient. They seem outrageously priced. I found this other place on the innernet called iGourmet ( http://www.igourmet.com/ ) and the prices seem signifigently lower. So, I'm thinking I'll go to the BCS to sample then buy online. Although, this method does not satisfy immediate cravings....

Wvere is zees Bierkraft?! eees goot?

You guys gotta try an original swiss cheese fondue (melted cheese in a pot that you eat with extra long forks that have pieces of bread stuck on it).
Try gerber fondue for instance. Add some schnaps to it and there you go.

For additional greatness, add some weed to the cheese. Be prepared for a two day high.
