They will forever hold a special place in my heart, no matter how many Rubin-fucked records they make.

By the way, I have heard three different interpretations of the beginning of "For Those About To Rock" - which one do you favour?

    1st & 2nd string, round about the 12th fret
    1st and 2nd string, open B
    1st & 3rd string, 12th fret-ish

ac/dc blows. guy shrieks (that nails on chalkboard comparison is pretty apt) about his testicle size or whatever over swaggering cock rock white blues crap. "hard as a rock"? "tnt -> dy-no-mite"? this is stupid shit. "for those about to rock, we salute you" actually has kind of a good title but then i heard the song. it unfolded before me like a slow-motion disaster -- it started really, really bad and with each new section, somehow got worse. the choir? the cannons? "FIRE"? you've got to be fucking kidding me.

plus, this guy helped make axl rose's singing style something that would be tolerated on the radio, and that's a crime.

waffle factor of 2 for the irrepressible swagger of their riffs and the obsessive quality about them that make it seem like maybe, just maybe, they aren't crap. but they are. they so are.

That would be a beautiful thing. Best sounding record ever? Could be.

The least bullshit hard rock band ever. Pure riff, pure energy, pure bludgeoning joy. 150% Not Crap.

they did a song for the Last Action Hero, right? i seem to remember a promo clip of some sort, with Arnold dressed up like Angus.

maybe i'm missing something, but i can't stand AC/DC. the vocals may be a impressive from a performative standpoint, but so are Yngwie Malmsteen's guitar solos, and i can't tolerate them either.

Crap. don't mean to piss in the punch bowl, fellas -- just don't enjoy the music of AC/DC. at all.
