hi man,
i'm a member of a commune in southern california, and am interested in recording some joan baez and lovin' spoonful covers with steve. before i make the big trip, though, i had some questions for you dudes.
first of all, i insist on wearing bare feet. there's no broken glass or anything around, is there?
second, i hear that there are some cats there. would it be okay if i brought my pet ferret along? he's pretty loose, i bet he could be cool with any feline peace-mates. they're all kind of brothers, if you know what i mean.
third, does anybody have a bong big enough for me and my caravan?
i want to let ya'll know that you don't have to worry about giving us all a place to crash--we've got enough vans for everyone, even steve, if he wants. is that cool? mine's purple, you'll know the machine when you see it.
i'm thinking that you won't have to go real far for that "old time sound", ya know what i'm saying? i think an sm57 on my yamaha acoustic will sound just perfect. they had that mic in the 60's, right? or maybe we should use a more vintage sm57. did they make those?
and hey, i promise to clean up the shower the day we leave, sometimes my hair clogs the drain, and the water overflows. that's why i don't shower that much...man, what a drag.
hey, steve, do you like the lovin' spoonful? i bet we'll get along great. but really, i'd love to have a picture of you and Ashbury (that's my ferret).
all right, man, peace, and lemme know what ya think of my questions. looks like a real cool slice of real estate, even though that sounds so establishmentarian.
man...that's a really BIG word!! i should call my mom! but we don't talk much cause she's totally square.
in peace,
winston rollingpebble

2Far out.
Hey Steve:
I'm in this pretty cool band up here in Maine. We were wondering if you could make us sound like The Jesus Lizard. That would be awesome, man. I have a Mexican Strat and a Peavey Gigster 500.
Could you make the mix extra "warm" with extra "punch?"
We also do a ton of Garbage covers.

But I digress. Please continue with the squirrel circuit semantic debate.

3I'm sure EA is quite friendly, but if they weren't, it would probably be because of the dorks who post really dumb posts on their message board.

4you're probably right, cal.

7I can testify that Steve is a straight up guy.
I've accosted Steve on a number of occasions in a number of different countries. Despite my obvious drunkenness Steve answered my stupid questions politely and engaged in pointless discussions on the joys of Travis Bean ownership and the superiority of Soviet Lomo cameras without telling me to beat it.
I'm not so sure about hippies though...
Everybody hates fuck'n hippies....
peace.

10I heard every band that spends over $500 gets a free lapdance from Steve and the gang.
