I'm not sure if this a proven fact, but in my experience, it seems that if you shower daily, the hair grease and body odor accumulates at faster rate than if you take a shower at less frequent intervals. When I first moved to Texas, the combination of heat and humidity gradually covered me in a layer of filth that only be cured with a shower at the end of the day. But ever since I have had to get up early for my job and not had time for a daily shower, I've found I can go two days without getting too disgusting. However I usually take a shower every three days.

I simply cannot get my head round the idea of leaving the house in a state of unshowerdliness. That musky funk that we (men) get told contains pheromones is not sexy, and women who put up with it, or – gasp – actually like it need to have their heads checked.

I agree with Rimbaud. It boggles my mind that adults will actually rationalize not washing their dirty ass.

You smell. I don't give a shit what you or your overly courteous friends. If you don't shower every day, you smell like a musty basement at best.

I'll skip on the occasional lazy Sunday when I know I'm not going anywhere. I don't smell bad, but I know I don't smell clean either. My girlfriend just tolerates it, and you can bet there's no bedroom magic on those days.

Having a decent shower in your house is necessary to any kind of happiness. A couple of years back I rented a house with a shower that sucked, provided no real warmth or refreshement, and I think it was a major factor to how miserable I was at that time. That, and I lived with a hermitic pervert who threatened to knife me.

I have 2 favorite words.
They are shower and bed.

I'm up for either one anytime. Sometimes I even talk to them..........."mmmmmm, showerrrrrrrrrrrr," or "mmmmmmmmmmmm, bed."

Years ago I discovered this miraculous product by a company called Lush. It requires you to take a bath, something I had not done probably since I was a small child and my mom washed my hair for me (mmmm, shampoo horns.)

Since then I have been devoted to many Lush products, and annoying the hell out of my Brit friends to send them to me (pre- mailorder to the states and their opening a store in NYC.) Now I take baths perhaps once a week in this stuff. It's one of the very few indulgences I allow myself, and it feels especially great after a day of shooting where I am on my feet all day and running around like a maniac chasing athletes that you see on ESPN 8 ("the Ocho")

Baths are not for cleanliness, baths are for relaxation. At least in my house and parts of Japan.

And as it's my heritage, naturally I like Polish showers.
