45My housemate/bandmate of 6 years favourite group of all time. Sorry Dave, but they are a bit CRAP. Slight waffle factors for Stuart Copeland's fat-ass drumming and the odd catchy riff but balls in general.
Said housemate Dave has a Police DVD, the extras of which are ... well, fascinating. There's a half hour documentary presented by a very young Jools Holland in which Sting takes us through his method of song-writing; 'tis chorus pedals ahoy and many a digital (midi) four track to be seen. He comes accross as a total arse.

48Firstly, I was shocked to see that a poll was needed to ascertain whether the Police were any good or not. Then I was even more shocked when I realised that there were even a handful people defending them. Now I see that they are currently deemed Not Crap and I am flabbergasted.
Possibly one of the three worst bands of all time.
